For The Horde
Ooh, I like tea cosies. This one bears the noble Horde symbol, as any dedicated World of Warcrafter will know. I'll show another pic when all the ends are weaved in and it is sewn up & adorning a tea pot.
oooh please please please tell me how you did it, apattern, smething, I'm dying to make one for myself, but I'm a begginner and I have no Idea how to keep changing colors to make the symbol look perfect like this :o
I know a lot of people may ask this for you but, is there a pattern or a technique that you could teach us to kint the horde crest ? I'm dying to make one for mysel, but I have no idea how to keep changing colors to make the horde symbol, maybe theres a video of you making it that you could link us?
Hi there, Flavia. Thanks for your nice remarks! I didn't design the Horde knitting pattern myself, it was designed by someone on Ravelry (www.ravelry.com) for the World of Warcrafters group. Ravelry is free to join so go there and look in the World of Warcrafters group for instructions for knitting the Horde logo. As for the tea cosy, simply knit a rectangle until it is about three-quarters of the height of your tea pot, then decrease at the ends of rows until your rectangle has reached its full height. Bind off. Now knit another rectangle the same. Stitch together, leaving gaps for the handle and spout.
Oh, by the way, about changing colours, that technique is called intarsia and there are many, many helpful videos that will show you how to do it, try YouTube!
